You could buy a webserver outside the country and set up your own VPN software or something. I think there are forms that look like https.

The biggest issue with Linux phones, is that basically every hardware manufacturer refuses to support Linux in any kind of way. Chipsets, and radios in particular. Linux itself needs a little optimization for mobile but it’s mostly hardware.

It’s really difficult to port Linux to any android device, despite being perfectly compatible in every way outside of drivers.

The x86 to arm is very cool. I do some stuff like this on my phone by running winlator. It works better on snapdragon because it has a better video translation layer.

I’ve never lived there but a few miles away and my mother is from there with her family. I knew a few people who lived in the state.

It was named after a native American tribe or word like many places down here, it was one that one of my ancestors was part of or that same general group. She was actually royalty in the tribe. The tribes from that area were pretty cool. One of the few examples of a truly matriarchal, and somewhat polyamorous and very peaceful societies in history. You can still see those genes floating around in the friendliness and general respect for women in the south, and also the often suppressed somewhat gender fluidity of many in the south.

One of the great ironies of history is in the past, these parts of the world where there was fertile farmland used to be the most desirable and best spots. Now they are some of the worst because of industrialization and high global temperatures making the south nearly unbearable to live in.

You should try to update them OTA through the phone app, and if that isn’t it, then it might be that your Linux distro is messed up. Try to find some other Bluetooth device to see if it pairs.

Yeah phosh is much better and mobian is set up better for the phone. It’s still not great though. It is on the verge of being usable. It’s still a way worse experience than android and the soc has less than 20% the power of a cheap android phone in video. That’s with my overclock. The CPU is even worse. Even with my overclock it’s looking like it has about 5% the throughout as the moto G CPU. It’s likely not quite that bad. Phosh/mobian is pretty decent though. A little laggy but sort of like using a cheap android phone.

I can’t get older versions of Minecraft to run about 8-12 FPS, where on the stylus a $200 unlocked android phone, using vulkan and other stuff, I can’t get 40-60 FPS in the newest versions with mods, and twice the render distance.

Everything about the hardware sucks, and it’s not the fault of the developers really because it’s extremely difficult to find stuff that will work without proprietary android drivers. Companies keep their chips extremely secretive. The pro is much better but no longer being produced. It still probably lags behind even budget android phones. It gets worse battery life.

Pretty sure it’s way higher than 90%. As far as I know the only games that don’t really work are games for windows live games and some newer games where the developers set the anticheat to not work on Linux. Not an issue with Linux itself, just that the developers intentionally choose to blacklist Linux. Can possibly get around some of this by using a VM.

I would avoid using stuff that goes out of its way to not support Linux. I guess it’s popular. Most things do work under Linux once you figure out how to use it. You have proton, wine, and VMs and containers if the former don’t work.

No I have a non Google phone with an unlockable bootloader rn, and also an unlockable bootloader on android is mostly a lie. They still require signing to install, because I guess hours of downloading tools and copying files back so that you don’t lose your IMEI and stuff wasn’t enough. This is how Motorola is, claims to have an unlockable bootloader which is technically true Ig, but you can only install official Motorola operating systems lol.

Google is doing much more than banning user app installation, they are going to ban abd side loading as well, because it’s not about security is about control. Whenever someone tells you they are taking away a freedom you have for something harmless like installing your own apps for your safety, it’s always about control.

Google is also banning emulators and many types of software that the corporate cartel don’t like. They have already been doing this as well. If people offer ad free apps they get removed from the play store. There is about a 9/10 chances that if there was a decent app, it’s been removed. Not anything anticorporaye they just hate ad free good software on the store.

This has led to a situation where nearly every piece of software on the store is junk, and to stop people from downloading decent apps from the internet, they are doing this nonsense.

There is so much wrong that Google does, lock bootloaders, banning user apps, taking away root access, stopping users from being able to to basic configuration of their devices like stopping software updates, they spy on people, censor the internet, the interfere in democratic elections, they target activists and stuff with demonization while allowing the absolute worst people on earth like conservative superpacs and think tanks to operate on their site, often times given them preferential treatment, like they did with corporate media over independent media.

That’s why saying the anticheat doesn’t work on Linux is misleading and wrong. It works on Linux just fine, they just choose to make it not support Linux with a configuration option.
