Yep. Mine too. At this point it’s the best modern take on Gnome 2.

I spent years running Ubuntu. I’ve typed ‘sudo apt-get install’ so many times I got carpel fingernail from doing it. ‘sudo dnf install’ is less typing and could have saved my fingernails. Now I use Kinonite and have all updates set to automatic and I very seldom even need to do anything at all.
Yes, I’m old, lazy, and can’t be bothered anymore. Why do you ask? ;)

If you’re looking for the immutable Plasma experience, Kinonite IS the best choice. Bazzite, Aurora, and I think Zoran, are reliant on whatever their foundation distro is doing. Other than having some presets you might like, they offer little else.
But if you like one of them, more power to you, use it and enjoy!

My Cheap, Cheerful, Chinese mini desktop is running the Fedora Cinnamon spin. Works great! And Cinnamon is the best Gnome experience in existence anymore.

Absolutely nothing. If you’re vibin’ with Mint, 3 Huzzahs for you! If you get curious to try something else later, that’s great too!
It’s not the distro you use that matters in the story of Life, it’s the fact you use Linux that matters.

Not really. Beginners don’t know the difference.

Meh, flavor of the month.

At the most basic level, it’s still purity testing.

Lemmy is majority socialist and not communist. So as most liberals are, they are destined to hate on each other because neither side can pass the ‘purity tests’ each side cooks up.
Y’all deserve each other most of the time.

There was a time…I was there. (Insert flashback scenes) But that time has long passed.
Distros have become easy enough that one doesn’t need to interact with the CLI if you don’t want to. I’m running Fedora Kinonite right now. I don’t even need to worry about installing updates. I checked a box or two and it does it all without my attention. And then applies the updates on the next reboot. But, you can open a terminal anytime or anywhere and have at it as much as you like. Linux is whatever you want to make it. And that’s pretty cool.

So, midget pron?
But I ain’t kink shaming.
I’m getting ready to make some home made bacon. It will take me the whole week to go from raw meat to the smokey deliciousness that is bacon.
Worth it…

We had one that would hop on the bed in the middle of the night and do that. First couple of pokes were gentle. If you didn’t wake up, he would add some claws to it. If you would pet him, he would purr…

Perhaps dead so he can eat your face off…
She is a whirl-wind of terror for sure.
No absolutely not!
The little orange Zip is already dragging socks under the bed to fight. I would never be able to get them back
304 Stainless steel? Your soup spoon is made from that. Great for corrosion resistant items that don’t need much hardness. 3xx stainless is also considered easier to machine. Perhaps you meant something from the 440 series A through C? Those are hardenable.
5160 is a spring steel alloy and would be excellent. Except it’s not very corrosion resistant.
Never, ever, ever do more effort than is required.
I have used rpms, AppImages, Flatpaks, and source. I have even used a snap or two when I had no other choice.
If you can’t work with them all, can you even say you Linux Bro?
Does FreeDoom count? It’s as close to the original as I can get anymore.
