Product owner is responsible for making sure the product meets customer needs. Project manager is responsible for making sure the project is completed on time and meets the requirements that are defined by the PO.

Did you know you can be exposed to other cultures without leaving the country? You did a good job of pointing out why travel alone doesn’t make people more open minded, but you didn’t touch on the opportunities Americans have to connect with other cultures without leaving their own country.

You aren’t going to find that in every industry/career. Not sure what other advice I can give, but if I was in that situation I’d be looking for a career/field that uses a similar set of skills but has a better culture.

It feels like less and less big artist are less vocal against what is happening. They will speak or make a post but their music is still the same ol same ol.
My point is that artists who are vocal don’t make as much profit for the record labels as they used to, so they’re not being promoted as much as they used to. RAtM only became as big as they are because they were profitable for Sony. Ironic, isn’t it?

How many indie punk bands do you listen to? In the 80s and 90s counter culture and anti-establishment is what sold music, and that’s why bands like Rage were able to go mainstream. Producers and promoters don’t support bands like that anymore because they know they won’t make as much profit.

Yeah, pretty much

Most of your criteria for deciding whether to interact with someone seems to be based on their ethnicity, native language, age, or gender.
noun One who is strongly partial to one’s own group, religion, race, or politics and is intolerant of those who differ.

I’m not saying social anxiety is the only reason for avoiding interacting with other people based on their age/race/socioeconomic status/etc, but it’s one of the few that doesn’t fall into the “bigot” category, IMO.

I think everyone has a list like this in their heads
Nope. This is probably common here on Lemmy, but so is social anxiety.

There are a lot of highly paid software devs who started with no connections or college degree. This might be the hardest time to enter the field as a junior, but it’s definitely not full of nepo babies. You must be thinking of finance/law.

Those issues you point out (“that reddit has”) seem to be common on all medium/large platforms. One word comments like “first” and “this” were common on sites like digg, long before reddit came along. And spelling/grammar mistakes are older than the internet.

Addiction, negative feedback loops, obsession and how to avoid becoming a victim of them
Which gender do you see being most typically associated with this?

How much power do you think they have?

They’ve already issued an arrest warrant for Netanyahu before the protest, what more can they do?

That’s only true for the high-end Pi 5. Lower-powered models like the zero 2 are still cheap, and they’re a lot easier to find than a few years ago.

They aren’t very useful for much besides hobby projects. Modern hardware is more energy efficient and will be cheaper in the long run compared to anything that would be considered e-waste. The only advantage an old laptop has is the initial cost, so it makes sense for a small home server.

A deadbolt is great, but it’s easier to break a window than pick even a bad lock. If you don’t live in a neighborhood where everyone has bars over their windows, you probably don’t need to keep your deadbolt locked all the time.
It’s not even about the size or complexity of the project - the code in question is wrapped in an
unsafe{}block, so no one should be expecting it to have the guarantees you’d normally get from rust. It’s ragebait.
