Yep. I lived in a 35m² apartment where bedroom, office, living and dining room were one room because there was no space to separate them. Kitchen was in a separate, small room, but had no door, so technically it was all one room. There was just not enough space to add walls. However, knocking down every wall possible to join your bedroom with the rest… No. In that case, I’d at least place a divider of some sort.

A cousin of mine lived in a 50-60m² place, knocked all the walls down except for bathroom. That means their kitchen, dining and living rooms, and bedroom were all in the same room. Okay, the place looked more spacious, but it was literally form over function through and through. Not my cup of tea.

  • It’s a stereotype for a reason, though. I’ve had many cats, and at one point we had a mom with three of her children. Mom and one of the children were “affectionate” only when they wanted to eat, otherwise, they’d go hide somewhere to be left alone. They did like to sleep in the same bed as us for warmth, but that’s about it. Only one of the 4 liked (likes) to cuddle and be pet and spend time with us. So out of these 4 cats from the same family, 2 didn’t want much to do with us, one was okay and spent time around us, and one was/is very affectionate. We didn’t treat them any differently, it was just their temperaments 🤷

  • You don’t need to shower daily. You absolutely do need to wash yourself in some other way, like with a washcloth. Unless you have no BO at all, more likely than not that bacteria colony under the armpits will make you smell bad regardless of if you had a “sweaty day” or not. Plus, wearing clean clothes helps a lot.

Anecdotally, I went to a gaming convention once and that taught me to never do it again. The smell was so bad. Living the stereotype. And on a recent concert I had someone stink so bad in front of me, it ruined the experience.

Also, as a side note. The article giving an example about why someone doesn’t shower being not liking having wet hair. I’ve heard this once. Do people not know they can just… tie their hair in a bun if it’s longer or just avoid wetting it if it’s short?
