I hate to be an American exceptionalist here, but I don’t think America needs tips and tricks for protesting. I think that the American public is less likely to support a protest than the public of other countries, and I think the American government is much better at and far more willing to do violence against a protest movement than other governments. Additionally, the American people have less resources if they get injured or are unable to work because of injury or arrest resulting from a protest.
I’m not saying other governments aren’t doing violence, clearly they are and these protesters are extremely brave for being willing to do this, but American authorities, especially under the current administration, are a different beast, and at least half of the public will likely be on their side.
