Neither side scores highly on the scale for pragmatism or reasonableness (or peaceful intentions towards their opposites…). The idea that the Israelis will simply give up their land + country and leave the region is absurd. Those who unbendingly insist upon it, well, I question their sanity too.
Possession is still 9/10 of the law in internaitonal politics. Even today, after having all of history to look back upon. Often convoluted legalistic moral arguments on the Arab side have also accomplished little in 80 years as far as gaining Arabs/Palis international support for their wishes and demands.
