It was written 250 years ago, exclusively by slaveholding white men, and should have been rewritten multiple times by now. In fact, this is what many of those who wrote it intended. However, it is worth recognizing that if the constitution were rewritten in the present political climate, the US would become the corporate Gilead that it is inching toward overnight.
So, if the constitution as it is today is the basis of law, then it should be enforced without prejudice and for everyone, even those charged with enforcing it.
