My opponent better hope they win before we get a Reverse and they’re stuck with my terrible play
Alt text description: Two people are playing chess along with a deck of Uno cards dictating play. Each turn a player draws a card. If the card has a number then that is the number of pieces they can move. Draw Two allows a player to return two captured pieces to the board. Skip causes a player to lose a turn. Reverse causes the players to turn the board around and switch to playing the other color. The actions for Wild or Wild Draw Four are not shown because the game ends in checkmate soon after a Reverse.

I would recommend working out the rules before you start coding. 😅
For example, the Draw 2 brings pieces back in the video, but the spaces where they were before are occupied, so can’t just put them back. There’s probably lots of situations like that, which need to be resolved.
If I’m really generous, they seem to place the pieces into positions where they’re able to move to their previous field, but might also just be random where they place them.
Well, and maybe also consider that Uno card designs are likely still subject to copyright, and the company behind Uno might be a right pain in the ass. 🫠
At least the last part should be easy to work around : just make drastically different-looking cards. Since it plays nowhere near actual Uno that should be enough
Doesn’t even have to be cards, since it doesn’t seem like the colors matter. Could just use a random number generator, or if you want fancy graphics spin a wheel or roll a die.
