When they say “attack a NATO country” it will probably be a drone that ‘got lost’ or worst case, an ‘uprising of local Russian people’ in eastern Estonia similar to how crimea / Donbass was annexed. Putin doesn’t want war with NATO. He wants to destroy the NATO alliance by testing its resolve.
Imagine like 500-1000 troops annexe 5 square km in eastern Estonia and call it an uprising. Estonia evokes article 5. On the Russian side of the border sits artillery and troops all zeroed in on that 5 square km. Russia makes a statement saying ‘any attack on free russian people is an attack on Russia’. What does NATO do?
I know Putin is desperate but this seems incredibly foolish. Way more than invading Ukraine.
Let’s hope they’re wrong because it would be disastrous for everyone.
If this is legit they should just assassinate Putin and be done with it. Enough is enough.
