Once you can just choose to ignore any law you don’t like, laws become meaningless. The treaties are the EU’s primary law.
European treaty work as opt in. It s the default. Not all country follow every eu law.
That is just false. A small number of member states has opt outs from specific areas, not treaties. Generally those were negitiated during joining. Obviously such things need unanimous support from all member states. A single member state cab’t just choose to ignore this or that toda,.
The opt out is from treaties. That doesn’t mean anything from specific area. Where are u from ? Cause your education system failed you. Eu is an economic alliance not a super state where her authorities surpass the one of the country
Look at negotiated opt out. The basis is by treaties and not just when u first join. U can do this on litteraly every treaty
Only 3 out of 27 member states have any opt outs at all: Ireland, Denmark and Poland. Only a single one has an opt out on something that has a status similar ti an EU treaty and tgat is Poland with the Charter of Fundamental Rights. All those opt outs had to be voted by all other member states into power and they are all either result of joining negotioations or were agreed during expansion of EU competences.
There is no general opt-in of EU treaties. It is only that for these 3 member states with existing opt outs that some of those opt outs also have opt in provision.
Guess why those are so rare. Why should every other member state vote for privileging another member state?
