In July, Kim Jong Un instructed that military discipline be tightened, following a corruption scandal involving senior military officials. South Korean media say the reshuffle is intended as part of this anti-corruption campaign.

    Beyond that, it’s pretty hard to make heads or tails of this, since information is so restricted. Even people who study NK for a living seem like they’re doing guesswork.
