He keeps coming around but gets scared off anytime we go near him. Looks a little thin like he could use a good meal. I’m going to keep trying every time we see him he stays a little longer.

I’ll try what your suggesting, thanks. He seems too thin to be someones pet so I’m hoping I can get him to trust me.
Good luck! All the kitties deserve a good scritch and plenty of treats, even if they don’t always realize it right away. This was my front porch a while back when I accidentally dropped a bag of treats, they were happy to help me clean it up.
