    Even your PC is at risk of being taken away now, in favor of rented Win365 cloud servers if MS gets their way. And thin clients for that service have been out for a while.

    Oh, and MS is making their own Win365 thin clients too. This is clearly aimed at enterprise, but imagine if it rolled out to consumers, too.

    Not to mention you no longer own your phone as Google is locking down Android apps, and assuming AluminumOS takes off like Android, your future desktops or laptops will probably end up locked down like your current phones are about to be.

    And TheBurger even argues in his blog that Android was always a closed ecosystem that you never owned to begin with, and AOSP is basically a farce. If Google could make Android fully closed-source ala Windows, they would, in a heartbeat.
