I thought they were going to take it when sending troops there early in the war, I think that it’s too vulnerable to drone and missile strikes to hold nowadays now, or else the navy would’ve taken it already.

Most of Iran is a mountain sticking out of the water, meaning any landing force has to arrive on a small sliver of undefended sand and drive single file over mountain roads with drones picking them off, or attack fortified places white being pelted by drones. It won’t be a happy casualty count.
