Code reviewed by WIRED uncovered an unreleased face-recognition system embedded in Meta’s smart glasses platform. It’s designed to identify people via biometric data stored on users’ phones.
TBH, I’m also not sure what they meant. The only visual prostheses I know of are things like glass eyes. Maybe “prosthesis” is their term for eyeglasses or contact lenses?
