WMO’s State of the Global Climate report 2025

As greenhouse gas concentrations drive continued warming of the atmosphere and ocean and melting of ice, according to the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). These rapid and large-scale changes have occurred within a few decades but will have harmful repercussions for hundreds – and potentially thousands – of years.

      I’ve definitely been shifting by focus and planning (e.g. financial) to be less future-oriented and more about the present.

    “Skids” would probably be more appropriate than “swings”, since it’s getting worse and worse in one direction rather than back and forth between extremes…

    Also fits with the fact that a bunch of selfish bastards are making everything worse by pouring oil on the road we’re all forced to traverse.

    I personally think microplastic and chemical water pollution will kill us sooner than climate change but who knows.
