Trump calls six justices a ‘disgrace to the nation’ while praising three justices who dissented

Donald Trump on Friday railed against the supreme court justices who blocked his use of tariffs, calling them a “disgrace to the nation”, and later signing documents imposing a 10% tariff on all countries.

Trump said he would immediately sign an order increasing tariffs globally by 10% under section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974 and will begin investigations of unfair trade practices allowing further tariffs. He asserted that he had the authority to impose additional tariffs under existing statutes without congressional approval.

By Friday evening, Trump posted on Truth Social: “It is my Great Honor to have just signed, from the Oval Office, a Global 10% Tariff on all Countries, which will be effective almost immediately.”

What exactly is the function of the supreme court if he just does whatever he wants? He just broke the law blatantly. 100%. What will happen to him?

Nothing. No justice. System needs to be rebuilt from the ground up.

So what about all these “deals” all the other governments like the UK, SK and EU did with the US to bring tarrifs down to 10 or 15 %? I suppose they are now all void as well?

I hope every country with a side deal recinds it and just forgets about trading with the USA for a while.

As an American, yeah me too.

Unfortunately I don’t think the lesson will each the people who need it the most. Republican voters don’t seem to be capable of learning.

I just don’t understand why tariffs issued by Congress isn’t enough for him. Why it must be him who imposes the tariffs?

Because it’s the bully stick he gets to hit other countries with to get his way … or just to retaliate against those who offend him.

Also because the on-again off-again arbitrary and unpredictable tariffs are a great opportunity for insider trading for those in his inner circle who are given advanced notice of his capricious changes.

Also because doing random bullshit with tariffs occupies the news cycle and helps distract from a lot of the other bullshit he’s doing or has done in the past.

He’s dying soon and doesn’t have to deal with the repercussions. Also getting scared the Epstein stuff will get to him. It’s a lose lose. Back him into a corner and he’ll blow it all up.
