Live torrents for some old movies and pretty hard to find. I thought about somehow extracting .m3u8 but that didn’t worked out. Those sits are getting better at hiding real stream URL. Any way to easy do it or something?

Completely untrue. I don’t have a seedbox, never had one, and I keep perfectly fine ratios on two different private trackers. One has a ratio of 56 I think, the other (the one I use the most) has a ratio of 4.5, both just have a minimum requirement ratio of 0.5 i think before you’re kicked.
I just have a computer on my home network, which is also the media server.
What’s your upload bandwidth? Just asking because it is kinda relevant to the topic at hand.
Up until recently, I was limited to 12Mbps through Comcast and had no issues building ratio for the 10 years using those speeds, while also dividing that speed between multiple users remotely streaming from my Plex server.
I’m on 150 mbps and get 0.00 ratio on most torrents. The trackers own guide says to use autobrr on a decent seedbox as the only reliable way to build ratio.
I think my best torrent is at around 7.0 after 2 or 3 years, all the others are under 1.0
A factor that comes to mind as someone who also runs a Plex server with friends is the importance of hard-linking vs copying files. I may be projecting my own experience from when I first started sailing the seas, but you can save a lot of storage space once you learn you can have a torrent folder AND an organized TV/movie folder(s) without doubling your media collection size!
Technically I pay for symmetrical 1Gbit, functionally I only have around 100Mbit upload bandwidth
On one hand, that’s great news for uploaders!
On the other hand - oof! ISPs are bastards! You definitely deserve a bill credit! I was limited to about 100 Mbit when I moved in to my new apartment - turned out the fiber jack was bad. Have you been able to get a tech to check it out? Definitely a pain to get one out to check the physical line sometimes.
That, my dear friend, is a seedbox, that you had to pay for, and whose continued uptime you have to pay for. It also reduces all the other upload you can do, which is also payment. So okay, maybe my “dedicated” was wrong, but still.
Apart from that…
Think about this logically. If people join private trackers and only upload/download from each other, what happens if one person has a ratio of 56?
It means that 55 people have to have a ratio of 0 or 77 people of 0.25, etc. So, people with such high ratios can only exist if there are others who become leechers. And “becoming a leecher” just means you relatively invest less in seeding than others.
Private trackers work only if you are in the top x% of seeders. The more “super-seeders” there are, the more you have to invest yourself, essentially artificially increasing the barrier of entry more and more.
It’s just a very stupid system.
You are describing a hard ratio system - a private tracker with no freeleech, no bonus points, just a strict ratio system. Most private trackers don’t operate that way.
Your math falls apart once you consider people downloading freeleech torrents without having the torrents count against their ratio, or people generating bonus points just by seeding torrents and then using those bonus points to improve their ratio (bonus points converted to upload data for example). There are even private trackers that are ratioless and basically exist on minimum seed time, seeding bonus points, etc.
Long term seeders at most private trackers end up with so many seed bonus points, or just accumulated upload data, that the private tracker becomes essentially ratioless even if it technically still tracks ratio.
I don’t care if you like private trackers or not, you do you, just mentioning your logic doesn’t make a ton of sense.
Well, then I guess I only got into those trackers. Point me to where I can find those like you say. But wait - it’s probably not going to be possible to get into those.
It’s just such a weird system
That’s only under the assumption that everyone downloads everything or only the same things…
Individually, yes, by correct selection of torrents you can “game” the system to your advantage. But you are wrong in the sense that the whole system in total still works like I say, if you’re good at selecting the right torrent, then another person has to not be good at it, which then in turn will be the one without the good ratio.
