How are you giving google your data if it’s from a tempmail?
Also, can you please point out to me where in OPs post does it mention anything about privacy? It specifically mentions not paying, not privacy concerns.

No, I use an account, created with a tempmail address.

Not possible? That’s precisely what I do.

Why do people complicate their lives so much?
Firefox+ublock origin+ privacy badger does it for me.

/s. Jeez people!

I imagine that when Israelis mention animal welfare they mean those palestinians, those animals.
EDIT:/s Sheesh, people!

It’s not TACO or anything like that. It’s just plain and brazen market manipulation.

I drive a 1999 Skoda Octavia, VAG, with the 1.9 TDI, with the mechanical pump. The thing, with proper maintenance, is ultra reliable. Doesn’t leak or burn oil. It hasn’t had a major repair in 27 years/400.000 km, just consumables, like a clutch, belts, a starter motor, stuff like that.
Two people I know that have bought VAG cars the last 5 years are constantly bitching about their cars.
Engineering is not the problem here, it’s management making engineering decisions.
The Chinese make generational planning. Western make quarterly decisions to appeal to speculators, not investors.
Western car makers, and Japanese/Koreans, definitely have the know how to make good value EVs, and some do (see Renault and Hyundai). If western and free market oriented Asian makers made long term investment and decisions they would compete just fine.

A couple of decades back I was a Systems Manager at a small campus, and personally admin’d one of the servers. There was a server in the room that had a 3 year uptime when I left. May have been running longer after that.

As it’s often said here. Pay a living wage. Tips should be a gratuity, something given to thank the worker for above and beyond service.

“Kid”? Man, to call me kid you must be a really old fuck.

I really don’t get this outrage thing. Outrage because all eggs become expensive? Yes, because they are close to essential, or at least very important for a lot of people’s diet, and they all get more expensive. Outrage for some game platform shenanigans? Don’t give them your fucking money.

Yes, but some do things better than others. CachyOS is btrfs by default, and does btrfs better than most. Btrfs is a bit more complex than your vanilla ext4.
Bazzite excels at gaming related things. Alpine at lightweight stuff, Nix at inmutability, etc…
That is one of the defining characteristics of Linux.

CachyOS is very btrfs savvy. I would try booting from a CachyOS ISO.

Do you have to tip at McDonald’s, or BK, and the like?

While I find tipping “culture” (Inculture, rather) bad, the fact that it forces people to do some math is kinda good.

Costs should be in the same range. Also, in the UK, heat pumps have an immense advantage in the UK. They can double as a dehumidifier.

You don’t need to. In Spain you can buy air source heat pumps split units that cost less than the installation, and that will heat in the winter for 1/3-1/4 the cost of any other heating method.

Actually, these people could be sold air source heat pumps, which are reversible, and provide A/C in the summer, with the heating savings argument. Heating with these things is so much cheaper than traditional means that they pay themselves in a couple of years. In Spain you can buy split air/air units (no water heating) that cost less than the installation costs.

SEER 6.1 y SCOP 4
It’s my informed opinion that you are wrong on both points, but you are of course entitled to your opinion.
