Is that navigated with the same commands as focus window up/down/etc, not a separate tab command? I’ve used sway more recently than i3, but it’s been a while.
And for me it’s not about showing a piece of the window necessarily, but how it can feel like it gives you an invisible 20% extra on either side of your monitor. It’s a lot like how tiling wms in general feel like they unlock something in laptops. Kinda hard to explain.

I’ve used it ever since riverwm had its 0.4 update or whatever it was.
Someone described it as objectively better than i3-like tilling because every window can be full size or tiled more traditionally with the same ergonomics, and they were right.

I had feeling I knew what you meant before looking it up. I guess I can appreciate trying to do something different in a laptop, but the detachable keyboard and kickstand just seem like too many moving parts to me.
Like when they added a screen that pops out above the keyboard or the laptop where the top half pivots lower than the base when it’s open to angle for airflow. But I’m also the dummy still trying to use a laptop in my lap.
Spiraling implies it used to be better anyway

Somehow still less sycophantic than chatgpt

I’m pretty sure past dual boot woes and originally learning Linux, when I was confused about efi/uefi or the boot process altogether, is what’s getting to me. Most of my VM use is from that time, transitioning to bare metal.
Hopefully one day we can get actual parity in niches like what you need without porting every little thing, and I know I’ve had devices with firmware updates requiring windows that I probably ignored. Gaming has already come so far though, so maybe there’s hope!

It’s honestly genius and idk why I hadn’t considered that it could be done until now

It’s mostly for a lack of equipment, storage, and money for it paired with decision fatigue on how to go about it and overwhelm from all the things I want to host… So I sit with the old laptop I’d use and dink around with learning nix->guix, daydreaming about the whole thing and hardly getting anywhere lol

This feels wrong but I don’t know why. It just feels like it would break somewhere. I’ve never given a vm its own physical drive though.

I use soulseek and the FMHY list of sites for acquisition. As far as discovery, no idea really. I’m still working on getting my Spotify favorites downloaded for now. I have kinda gotten back on last.fm for scrobbling and hopefully some discovery, but honestly I connected mpdscribble and haven’t looked at it since.
Navidrome has been on my radar for unifying mobile access instead of syncthing duplicating everything, but I keep putting off setting up a home server.

I’m no biologist but it’s weird this doesn’t happen with cats. Stray/feral cats will be popping out kittens of every variety
I was gonna say all the games were but I forgot red and green came out first lol
I’d assume fire red was mirroring the anime, though. I mean there were definitely anime recaps before it
The best part to me is how it emulates the anime recaps

Anything not straight-up-and-down always messes with me so bad. There’s an extra hellish sweet spot around 45° and facing away from you that melts my brain as it approaches
Edit: also wtf, for me the post below this one is about screws lol

Then there’s the third thing where you say “you’re gonna turn left at the light” and I say “ok, got it… Wait, did you say right?”

I’ve been using rmpc for a couple years now and I like it overall except that it can be a bit simple. Just a queue and monolithic library, can’t create playlists or play random files, etc.
Its my first mpd client, but I know mpd is meant to be fairly narrow. Being clean and simple is mostly a benefit at least.

Just tried vintage story for the first time last week. I have like 15 20 hours in 2 or 3 sittings.
4-day edit: fucking hell, make that 30 hours in 5-6 sittings. Stay tuned for 6-7
Funny, this exact thing is what keeps me from getting it done
