Embrace peeing sitting. It’ll change your life.

Hell yeah. It’s good to have as an alt source in an arr-stack setup. I prioritise torrent since that helps folks who don’t/can’t pay but it’s there when TL falls or smth.
Oh so he’s doing the Mark Carney number. Risky bet.

S0ix is fine. LTT doesn’t know shit about shit. I use it on first gen Framework. It works way more reliably than S3 since there’s little nees for special handling in drivers and firmware. The Framework already consumes 3W when idle. S0ix brings that down to 1-2W. The first gen suppprts S3 and that doesn’t consume less power. So either way I need suspend-then-hibernate or suspend-to-both and that’s what you want as well. You’d have to forgo Secure Boot to enable hibernate. If root is on Ext4 on encrypted LVM, hibernate works even with a swapfile (default on modern Ubuntu). For fancier setups like root on ZFS you’d need to use encrypred swap partition for it. That’s what I currently use. If you want to know more details, have Qs, ask away.

If they understand that there’s no moat for their AI R&D business, perhaps they’re looking to a possible future where they could lower their cost of R&D by picking up open models and running them for inference. Especially if the current spending collapses.

Qwen 3.8 27B dropping soon for all the lucky bastards with >=24GB VRAM.

Right? Windows gives MS enormous market power beyond the desktop license revenue. At the same time there’s obvious cost savings to be had by outsourcing the OS. What is the capitalist to do facing this conradiction… 🤭

“Denounce” is a rather light word for delegitimize.

They are swapping their gas-guzzling 1950s American cars for electric motorcycles and rickshaws from China; importing hefty lithium batteries to keep televisions and fans running through blackouts; jury-rigging generators to run on more accessible natural gas; and installing solar panels on rooftops and even vehicles.
As a result, Cuba has been powering its electric grid solely with domestic oil and gas and a growing network of solar parks sponsored by China. Together, they are enough to support roughly half of Cuban demand, according to Jorge Piñón, who studies Cuban energy at the University of Texas.
It’s China. Glad to see them materially helping. If the US does not invade, Cuba may be in for a new beginning.

Yup. Gone are the days when it was easy to buy your way out of fast fashion, by … buying the better product for the higher price. These days you have to go way out of your way to find a manufacturer that produces at better quality. And then you gotta pay a lot more.
For example I buy Houdini Wadi pants that are fairly well made in Portugal. Took a lot of research and they cost around CAD $200 a pop. That’s not the kind of money most can afford around here with the current cost of living. What’s in the retail stores these days is piss poor quality, likely made by the same firms that make fast fashion, as you can see the familiar cost cutting tricks all over them. Even second hand is now flooded with fast fashion items and you gotta work to sift through it to find stuff that lasts. I don’t think any policy that relies on individuals doing “shopping smarter” would help this trend. A useful policy must contain standards of quality (such as longevity) enforced by a public body. That’ll solve the environmental problem automatically as well. But I can already imagine the industry outcry at such regulation that will cut their margins. Otherwise it’s just some marginal feelgud to paper over the decline of clothing and the environment.

It’s odd because don’t see how a day of delay would help conceal information people use to protest the war. If they stopped publishing images of the region altogether, that’d make sense for the Trump regime’s goals. A mere day of delay though… Just makes them and the European admin who complied look bad.

My guess is because they saw what happened to Iran who do not have a nuclear weapon. They saw what happened to them when they don’t have a nuclear weapon. And they saw how the US moved defensive assets to protect Israel while their neighbours turned into missile targets.

Hence articles like this and the others posted by op.

OMG this real?
E: Sadly no

Then don’t converse.

My argument is ironclad.

LOL “not serious LLM.” Meanwhile various companies run Chinese models behind their services and everyone running local models for agentic programming uses Qwen 3.6. You should go touch grass.
Related - that’s kinda when peeing sitting shines - peeing half-asleep with lights off. All you gotta do is manage to locate the seat with your ass cheeks. Then just sit there, no need to aim, pay attention, have the light on so you can see (if you can’t echolocate), but even if you can echolocate mistakes are common and yelling isn’t far behind. You just sit there and it happens without getting proper awake.
