The US hasn’t sent a single cent worth of aid to Ukraine since January 2025. Trump can’t drop Ukraine any further.
Europe stepped up for a bit, but then let the aid sent drop to a much lower level again. We’re still helping, but not nearly enough.

Yeah, turns out most of our CO2 emissions comes from fossil fuels which power most of our heating, manufacturing and transport, as well as form the foundational material for most products.
Who could have guessed that the things we do the most are the things that consume the most energy.

Back when we called them “demotivationals” instead of “memes”

I’m hoping it’s not RAW sewage
Oh no, my cat immediately starts apology purring and licking if she bites or scratches during playtime.
“Lets play until I go too far and then feel bad!”

I’m not doubting your experience, but I’m curious about the paw damage from scratching? What does that look like?
She would use the scratching posts (that we had to have for the other cat) with her paws, would just break her skin. For the limp, the vet set it was likely nerve pain.

I had declawed rescue kitty and she had difficulty walking because of it. It also didn’t stop her from scratching stuff, so she damaged her paws frequently.
She was also VERY bitey until we had the time to properly train her (which, you know, they could have done instead of declawing, she was a pretty smart cat)

Anyone able to fill me in on what the sort of “steelman” argument would be for such a punishment?
I’m having a hard time understanding the expected outcome - I guess just hoping he leaves the country, without actually kicking him out? Why not just kick him out?
These are two entirely different cases. One is a private company not wishing to deal with a private group due to fundraising for Cuba. While that’s a legal thing to do, it’s also perfectly legal for a bank not to want you as a customer. If the DKP thinks they’re being discriminated against, they should sue the bank. The government is totally not involved here.
The second example is a dude who is literally a paid Russian propagandist. Putting them on the sanctions list is much more effective, since they’re not actually in Germany most of the time, but base a lot of their work out of Turkey. Kicking them out would do nothing.
Dogru (…) was previously a key part of Red Fish, a platform financed by Ruptly, a Germany-based outlet partially funded by the Russian state-controlled network, RT. After the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Dogru closed Red Fish and started his own independent outlet (red. media)
Quite a few Russian propagandists are using the antifa label and Palestine support to get away with their propaganda work. In the case of Dogru is not even well hidden, he went straight from openly paid Russian propagandist to barely-covered propagandist without even bothering to change the name much, or the media channels at all.

The last few times, at least the corporations showed a real interest. This time, the US government just kind of assumed.

They know one thing: Trump’s support won’t last 18 weeks, let alone 18 months, let alone any real timeframe.
And the US produced more oil than Saudi Arabia, Iraq and the UAE combined in 2024. You can probably add Qatar and Oman on that pile too for 2025…

I bought a Brother B/W laser printer with a USB-A connector about a decade ago. It ran through just over a full box (2500 sheets) of A4 paper on it’s preinstalled demo-toner before I needed to insert the full toner that came with it. The most work I ever had to do on it was when I tried to print on slightly-too-thick paper and it decided that it would rather make confetti instead. Spent an hour pulling out individual fibers of paper, and it never acted up again.

Nah, religions mostly reflect on others, not themselves.

The US probes women and children all the time.
Oh. That’s not what you meant.

Welcome to 2026, where “kill”, “obese” and “predator” are swearwords.

Google search, youtube and android at least make owners money. ChatGPT just burns dumptrucks full of cash just to create the option to burn more cash.

Oh, you wanted code that actually works with your existing codebase? Sorry, here’s some additional sludge sprinkled on top of the previous crappy answer.

An AI subscription will have to be the next internet or phone bill for this thing to even think about making a profit.
Not really, since even the paying subscribers are costing the companies money. If they were a baker, they’re doing the equivalent of selling 1-dollar loaves of bread that cost 2,50 to knead and bake, and that’s not even counting the fact that you need to buy flour first.
The alternative is living in Russia and fighting for Gazprom
