Why not simply go for a Reddit blackout
Well the whole reddit thing was just a bunch of volunteer mods. On the other hand, many YouTubers make a career out of the platform. Considering their livelihoods are at stake, and the vast number of YouTubers you would need to get on board to make google actually care? Organizing such a thing would be anything but simple.
God, this used to annoy me so bad. I’d read the same three paragraphs over and over again, only for my mind to wander immediately every time. I’ve since come to appreciate it though, because my mind usually wanders off to think about potential scenarios in the book I’m actively reading.
Like what two characters might say if they were to have a conversation about something specific, or even how the current situation I’m trying to read about might progress (instead of just focusing on the damn words that give me that answer, thanks brain). Time spent daydreaming about a story I enjoy isn’t time wasted IMO.
Though, it’s admittedly still very annoying when I’m trying to read something boring like a science or news article.
Just about nothing but another speedster is. The dude can think and move faster that the speed of light, he spent an entire episode in the split second it took for a nuke to go off. The fact that he’s constantly getting his ass kicked is a flaw of the character more than the writing IMO (though don’t get me wrong, the writing was also bad).
I loved in the first season and then again whenever Zoom happened where you’d get him saying at the end of the intro “My name is Barry Allen, and I’m the fastest man alive”, immediately followed up with “Previously on The Flash: (highlight of him being outrun and beaten up by another guy)”
That’s the best part of the whole series IMO. I loved cell as a villain.

A pair of em dashes—which, admittedly, are a lot harder to use on a PC—serve the same function. I’ve seen some people in this thread say you’ll get called an LLM for using them now, but I’ve never experienced that.
This is an interesting argument. I don’t think the two are completely analogous, and the whole thing falls apart once you go beyond consumer level usage due to piracy’s inability to make new things like AI can. While piracy isn’t going to get any game developers or musicians fired, AI image gen very likely will. The more it improves, the harder it will be for companies to continue justifying paying real artists.
That said, you do make a good point that many pro-piracy arguments can be used all the same to be pro-AI image gen. At least at the individual consumer level.
Where does the hate come from?
He hordes more wealth than almost anyone else in the entire world. The man could fucking cure cancer and I would still hate him and consider him a horrible person. Nobody needs or deserves that much money when so much of the word is struggling to get by. And nobody makes that much money without exploiting others.
And calling people that get another animal heartless isn’t?
Anyway, it was meant as a commentary on how people can grieve but still get new pets. I wasn’t commanding them to grieve this way. Maybe “you gotta” was a poor choice of words.
I never said anywhere that anybody needed to take on another pet. All I said was, essentially, it’s okay to do and people aren’t heartless for doing it.
You gotta move on through the grief, accept that they’re no longer with you, but that you gave them the best life you could. And maybe realize that giving another pet a good life doesn’t mean you’re replacing or forgetting your last one. Some people are just better at it than others, they aren’t being heartless.
That said, people who get a new dog a week or two after their previous one died are insane to me. That just feels disrespectful.

(Also keep in mind if you just look at the lines, its even worse than it looks at a glance because the values are separated strangely. Like 10/25/50 million all being equally spaced out, and 600 being the halfway point of 0 and 2400.)
