Definitely not the cats. Gotta have curtains long-enough to tuck-under them so they can enjoy the couch-cushions and the view, particularly if I want the curtains to also do their duty stopping glare on the TV in the far-corner.

Never understood the vertical blinds made of fabric or other flimsy materials. The kind I grew up with, the kind I miss, were thick plastic or vinyl. You could paint them

I miss vertical blinds. Our cats destroyed all our horizontal blinds, so we just keep the curtains closed for privacy.

I hate turkey, and I smell/taste-test casserole before committing.

I took OP’s premise and found last-night’s work-lunch fit the bill at least so well as their food pic. Surprised I took the pic, but I was having similar thoughts to OP’s at the time.

Actually, the green-bean casserole my work-mate offered was the un-planned-for, late-arrival part. Otherwise, I wasn’t planning on warming the ham up. It was all delicious together.

Thanks, I hate it. I hate it BECAUSE I get it, to be clear. F’ing digits …

… on the same topic, and/or revisiting topics from a few minutes ago. Brain no access all relavent/in-depth matters while maintaining narrow focus.

Favorited. If I were ever to try to make a new “Lemmy”, this would be a top-three non-negotiable feature. There are so many (non-serious, click-baity, or pay-walled)sites I would rather block, but I’ve settled for blocking users who post them too much.

I re-purpose sooo many things, and use so much random crap for projects when my budget won’t allow completing them, but frankensteining my backlog will.

Does the Play store not do regional pricing?

My facebook feed is the sameway. Its based on browsing history and whatnot. Personally, I’ve leaned into it for the twin reasons of its stuff I’ll never buy and I prefer being reminded that its shameful that I’m still using facebook at all. Apparently I’m addicted to daily blocking a new dozen or so people, pages, groups that I’ve never friended, followed or joined. That said:

$4 is plenty fair in my world.
Came here to say, bump it to 24-72 hours without sleep for maximum results. “maximum”<> “good”, but you never know until you try.
Nah. I wasn’t even trying to be witty there, just honest. The high-road seems pretty treacherous from my prefered vantage points.
Laughing at sad attempts at cruelty is so much more satisfying.
Idk? Why does mod involvement taste like a spicy desert? Sadly I don’t write the rules. I’m just in here looking for easter eggs.

I’ve seen and eaten worse at a local “mediteranian” place. Tasted a lot better than it looked(although, was definitely well-cooked), so I’m wondering how this belongs here; It’s not food if you can’t describe how it tastes.

Smoother if you chew, just saying.
Unless the stems are breaking, that’s what repair-tabs are for. That said, I can’t believe that’s still the only way the slats are being hung.
Oh wait, I found a thing. I was thinking some sort of clamp would be best, and that’s basically what these are.
Somehow, I doubt it keeps them from being pulled-down again, but at least you should be able to just put them back up again and again this way.
