It really bothers me that the update manager GUIs in gnome and KDE, like Discover, don’t do this automatically.

Exactly! They often get confused with sphynxes from a distance.

They are much more soft. Most cats have 3 types of fur, outer guard hairs, a mid coat, and an inner down coat. Cornish Rex have a mutation that only gives them the curly down coat. They are incredibly soft, it’s like petting the softest rabbit you can imagine.

You might be getting down voted because of your claim that it doesn’t have screensavers, which is just flat out wrong.

We’ve had indoor cats that keep trying to sneak out. Something that has worked great to convince them that it’s a bad idea is to to use an air horn (not aimed at them, not close to them, just to make a sudden loud unfamiliar noise). Stand outside the door with the horn. Open the door and let them get curious. As soon as they set one paw outside the door frame, fire a quick blast. It’s only taken doing it 2-3 times, and they all learned fast that it’s scary out there.

I don’t really like scaring them that way, but it’s better than getting hit by a car, lost, or eaten by a predator.

Isn’t this similar to the reason a lot of people hate snaps? Or am I misunderstanding something? I’m not an Arch user (btw) so I’m not super familiar with AUR.

All these “it escaped the lab” stores are just starting to sound like advertising now. “Ohh our AI is soooooooo good that it can figure out how to escape a lab and break in to a competitor. You should use it because it’s sooooo good!”

I fell in love with the Cornish Rex breed, and the only real option is to go through a breeder. I know it’s not exactly cool these days to go outside a shelter, but I couldn’t resist. We do have 2 dumpster cats that we love dearly to make up for it though.
